Ahhh, the anticipation is killing me! Okay, normally I wouldn't really write a ton about a film a month and a half before it even releases, but I just have to make an exception this time around. You see, when I had first heard about FAN after having seen the initial teaser trailers and what not, I had only but a casual interest. Upon its release, the upbeat, optimistic song "Jabra Fan Anthem" caught my attention, as its lyrics were undoubtedly relatable to what I, as a fan, feel and experience. While this film did look rather innovative, the story itself came across as being inspiring, heartfelt, and most of all - simple. So, you ask, what has shifted my preconceived impressions towards FAN? It's official trailer released only a few hours ago, and boy, it is the complete opposite of what the innocent promotional teasers showcased – and I am so thrilled about it! I'm striking the signature SRK pose already. FAN is a film that centers around the character of Gaurav (Shahrukh Khan) whose life revolves around his celebrity idol, Aryan Khanna (Shahrukh Khan). However, what appears to be all but an inspirational admiration actually turns out to be a detrimental obsession that crosses the line. |

— Initially, this page was where I documented my daily prompts for a writing class in high school, but I'll continue to post my thoughts here every once in a while. I might also post some dissertations / research I've done here in college. categories:archives:
